Bill is a founding member and President of Midwest Adaptive Sports (MAS). MAS was founded in 2011 and assumed management of the adaptive ski and snowboard program at Snow Creek Ski and Snowboard Area during the 2011-12 ski season. MAS is registered in the State of Missouri as a Non-Profit Corporation and as a component fund with the Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri (CFNWMO). MAS has nonprofit status under CFNWMO as determined by the Internal Revenue Service. MAS gained chapter status with Disabled Sports USA (DSUSA) in 2014 and is currently working towards Paralympic Sports Club status with the United States Olympic Committee (USOC). Bill has been a member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) since the 2003-04 season, the first season he was a ski instructor at Snow Creek. His main areas of focus are adaptive and race instructing/coaching. He worked for National Sports Center for the Disableed (NSCD) when they managed the adaptive program at Snow Creek and attended numerous training sessions conducted by NSCD. He achieved Alpine Level 1 certification in February 2004 and Adaptive Level 1 certification in Febuary 2013. Since the 2013-14 ski season, he has been a member of the United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA). In December 2013, he achieved Alpoine Coach – Level 100 status and passed the Alpine Course Setting clinic.
