Boardslide Mission

Boardslide Mission received a $1,000 grant for Boardslide’s Inaugural Winter Camp for All at The Rock Snowpark in Milwaukee, WI. The organization aims to break down barriers, introduce youth to a new passion and pathway to thrive, and help them build confidence in themselves and community with one another.

The four-week learn-to-ski/snowboard camp served youth from historically marginalized communities, (black/indigenous/people of color, girls, LGBTQ+). A diverse group of 20, ages 12-18 participated in this free program. Included was transportation, clothing, board and ski rentals, a meal, plus a one-hour lesson. Time to free-ride/ski with volunteers was built into the program.
