Adaptive Virtual Mentoring Program

What: The Adaptive Virtual Mentoring Program allows participants to have custom-designed, one-on-one, online coaching sessions with a PSIA-AASI-C Adaptive Education Staff member. Sessions are 30 minutes, and participants receive one CEU for each completed mentoring session.

Why: Many adaptive instructors don't have the benefit of an experienced adaptive trainer to guide their development as a skier/snowboarder and as an adaptive instructor. Whether it is preparing for an exam, getting feedback on your own adaptive techniques, or collaborating on ideas for a challenging student, a mentoring session can quickly elevate your adaptive instruction.

How: After you register for your mentoring session, you will be sent a link to the Adaptive Mentoring Prep Form. This form includes background questions, as well as your goal for the specific mentoring session. Please submit the completed form to adaptive@psia-c.org.

Personal video, whether it shows you teaching a lesson, practicing adaptive techniques, or displaying your own skiing/snowboarding, can also be included with your Prep Form Submission.

Your Adaptive Mentor uses the prep form and video to design a session specifically for you and your stated goal. Should you want ongoing mentoring, you may book more than one session.

Participants may register for multiple sessions at $45 each.
