Course Description:

We've been speaking of a MOAB Rendezvous for years, but Covid-19 managed to delay our execution. We're finally ready to MEET-YOU-IN-MOAB for some riding and community.

When: October 7-9, 2022

Where: PSIA-AASI Central will be in GROUP SITE B at Ken's Lake Campground. There is still availability at Ken's Lake for you to get your own site, but we've got to warn you, it's filling fast (and it's one of the best-kept secrets in Moab, so keep this to yourself). PSIA's site can hold up to 25 people, but it can get tight in the group site, so please consider your own.

Please arrange for a campsite BEFORE you reserve for the BBQ. You can reserve your site at Ken's Lake here.

Ken's lake has no showers, a nice stream, and a waterfall when water levels are high. Toilets are pit-style. Head's up, Ken's Lake is pretty far out of town- some of you may wish to be closer to MOAB. There are many nice places to stay in Moab, and the Sorrel River Ranch is the pinnacle.

What: We'll help coordinate morning rides on Slickrock and Horsethief and direct groups to other rides in the afternoons. Friday night, we'll have a "reception" at the Group site; Saturday Night, we'll do a Bring-your-Side Bar-B-Que.

Cost: $45 includes Reception, Barbecue, and Commemorative Shirt - the event itself is not for CEUs (Need CEUs? We will offer 2 MTB Skills Sessions Friday afternoon and Saturday Mid-Day available for Non-ASEA Credit).

Yes- you still need to sign a waiver. (Waiver for the events will be completed when registering for the Reception and Barbecue.)

Getting to MOAB- We usually drive (25 hours from Frankfort), but you can FLY to Denver (5.5 hrs to Moab), Salt Lake (4 hrs to Moab), or Grand Junction (2 hrs to Moab), TAKE A TRAIN to Green River, and rent a car or get a shuttle to Moab (if you do, stay in town as Ken's Lake is a long bike ride out of town). You can take a Train DIRECTLY from Chicago to Green River for about $117 each way ($750 for a sleeper). You'll still need to shuttle or drive from Green River, Utah- it's about 54 minutes away from town by car, and Ken's Lake is another 18 minutes outside of town.

If you fly, consider renting a bike in MOAB- bring your shoes and pedals; most shops are happy to install them. You can find GREAT bikes at Rim Cycles and Poison Spider.

Additional Event Details:

Participants will meet on Friday at 5:00 PM (MT) at Group Site B.
