The Cross Country Level I Exam Prep Webinar (LI certification, part I) is a two-evening, (2hours each) introduction to the organization and resources available to PSIA-AASI members.
The Cross Country Level I exam prep focuses on preparing candidates to deliver successful beginner experiences. The course covers fundamental skills that improve the effectiveness of instruction and coaching at all levels. Participants will be encouraged to share their own methods, progressions, and experiences.
Topics to be covered include professionalism, the learning connection, the Classic & Skate technique, lesson delivery, providing feedback, and movement analysis. The prep will also provide an opportunity to meet exam facilitators and prepare for the on-snow exam. Candidates for the Level I exam must complete the exam prep prior to taking the on-snow exam.
A computer, internet connection, and microphone or phone are mandatory, a webcam is highly recommended.
Candidates will be assessed on their demonstration of skills acquired during the Level 1 Exam Prep. Candidates will participate in on-snow activities for both Classic and Skate disciplines.
