Did You See That?!- The Big Mountain Edition* takes our popular Alpine Movement Analysis course off-trail, looking at tactics and techniques for steep terrain, bumps, powder, and variable conditions. This course is designed around those seeking Level III certification, but members of all levels may participate.
Over three evenings, members and the course conductor will identify the 5 fundamentals of Alpine Skiing throughout 3 phases of the turn. In Did You See That- The Big Mountain Edition, participants, will employ the O.E.P. (Observe, Evaluate, Prescribe) model to assess the ski and body performance and the D.I.R.T. model to understand how skill application varies tactically and situationally. Be prepared to have your concepts challenged and focus refined in this exciting assessment of double diamond skiing.
After the course, participants should be able to describe the tactical application of skills in variable conditions, assess the suitability of that blend, and recommend changes to enhance a skier's performance in a "big mountain" environment.
The session will be held from 7-9 pm CT/ 8-10 pm ET
Access information for the event will be included in the event registration confirmation email.
Education Credits completed after July 1st, 2022, and before June 30th, 2023 will be applied to the 2022-2023 season.
