Multi Webinar - "Skiing Biomechanics" | Back to Calendar |

Skiing Biomechanics is an interactive online webinar event open to certified PSIA-AASI members Level I, II, and III (Ski, Snowboard, XC), with a primary focus on alpine technique. The purpose of this event is to explore relevant introductory principles of physics and kinesiology as they relate to ski instruction. These include:
-Forces acting on the skis and the body
-Mechanics of the hip, knee, and ankle joint
-Muscle Contraction and Action
-Mechanics related to Alpine Technique
This is a two-hour online event in which participants will engage with the science of human movement tailored to the art of ski teaching.
Required: Stable Internet connection, webcam, speakers, and computer microphone. Please join on a computer rather than a tablet or phone.
